Fans donate $20,000 in honor of G-Dragon’s birthday!

G-Dragon’s fans donated 20 million won, or roughly $20,000 USD, to a childcare hospital in Seoul on August 18th for the star singer’s 23rd birthday. The fan site, “Kwon Ji Yong’s Supporters,” said, “To celebrate G-Dragon’s 23rd birthday, we donated 12 million won ($12,000) for children suffering from rare diseases, and 8 million won ($8,000) to kids fighting heart diseases and hydrocephalus.”

“Since G-Dragon has already stated that he would not accept any birthday gifts, we are instead going to increase our donation efforts and raise awareness for the needy children, as we believe that’s what G-Dragon meant to say,” the fan site added.

Se7en to represent YG Family for a free kpop concert held by KBS in New York?

Some of the top Hallyu stars will be coming to New York in October!

The free concert from KBS, open to all ages, will be held on October 9th 2011 at Randall’s Island Park in New York and will feature atleast 10 kpop artists, the tentative list includes TVXQ, Wonder Girls, 2PM, B2ST, SHINee, Se7en, Sistar19, Lee Hyori, and 4Minute! (*Note: the lineup may change)

The concert will begin at around 7:00PM and is estimated to bring in about 10,000 fans.

The concert will promote the globalization of Korean culture through live music and performances in the US, but will also be featured in South Korea through a broadcast by KBS.

Crying. I remember the last time Se7en and Hyori came to New York *-*…I actually met Hyori then! She was really really nice….

….and my 6th grade self was too in awe of her/intimidated by her beauty/kindness/etc. that I couldn’t do anything.

EFFFF YESSSSSS. Okay it’s at times like this that I’m glad I picked my college over Northwestern lol. Imagine all the frustration I would have pent up inside me if I were in Evanston instead of Manhattan…
